Cllr Anna Burton, one of the centre’s trustees, said:
“Unfortunately, our youth club experienced a break-in resulting in the theft of our beloved PlayStation and all of our games.
“As a charity that aims to provide a supportive environment for our local youth, this incident has left us feeling disheartened.
“In light of this situation, we have decided to reach out to our community for support.
“Instead of focusing solely on what we’ve lost, we would like to ask for your help in bringing back the joy and fun to our club.”
They are seeking anyone who can donate PlayStation games they no longer use, as well as monetary donations to buy and replace stolen goods, and in spreading the word about the youth club.
Cllr Burton added:
“We are looking for all types of games to replenish our collection.
“If you’re able, please consider donating through our website to help us replace the stolen items and ensure our programs continue without disruption.
“And please help us spread the word! Share this with your friends and family who might be interested in supporting our youth club.
“To the person/people who stole from us, we ask you to reconsider your actions.
“If you have a change of heart, you can return the items anonymously, and we will ensure no questions are asked.
“Together, we can turn this challenging situation into a testament to the strength and kindness of our community.”
Cllr Burton said the break-in and theft is being reported to Cheshire Police.
Sgt Matt Stonier, of Nantwich Police, said:
“Having been made aware of the Nantwich News article, officers have contacted Cllr Burton to discuss the incident, as it is yet to be reported to the Police.
“An investigation is now underway to identify those responsible and recover the stolen items.
“We would ask that anyone who attends the youth club that may have information to assist our investigation contacts Cheshire Police.”
