3 teens arrested for stealing gun, other items during Beaver Dam vehicle break-ins

Sheriff's officials worked with the Beaver Dam Police Department to investigate the incidents and establish probable cause to execute a search warrant.

BEAVER DAM (WLUK) -- A trio of teenagers are facing charges in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins in Beaver Dam.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, numerous break-ins and thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours Sunday. One of those break-ins resulted in the theft of a handgun.
Sheriff's officials worked with the Beaver Dam Police Department to investigate the incidents and establish probable cause to execute a search warrant.
On Wednesday, authorities searched a residence in the 600 block of N. University Avenue in Beaver Dam and recovered the stolen handgun, as well as other stolen property.
Juvenile charges have been referred against two Beaver Dam juveniles:
- 13-year-old juvenile for possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18
- 16-year-old juvenile for possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia
Additionally, adult charges were referred against a 17-year-old male from Sparta for misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
Officials say this investigation is ongoing. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office reminds citizens to remove valuables from their vehicles and keep them locked at all times while they're not in use.
